“My passion is growing an idea into a reality and getting it out into the world for people to utilise and play with.”
I left university with an English Literature and Philosophy degree, and still none the wiser about my state of existence, or whether Jane Austen was a feminist. So I decided to do something I was sure about, and joined a creative agency.
I was lucky enough to work with a big range of clients from day dot, including universities, charities, health brands, big corporates, government bodies, festivals and FMCG brands. I worked on a whole spectrum of projects: branding, print and digital design, website and app creation and project managing live experiential events from start to finish.
Fascinated by the way we use digital space, I went on to concentrate specifically on the digital world. I joined a website design and production agency in Melbourne as an Account Manager, managing projects large and small, creating online spaces to help companies evolve their online presence.
I chose Account Management because I’m a natural organiser; I like the balance of oversight and detail, working with clients to tweak as we go, to get the perfect result. I enjoy working in a busy creative agency because of the opportunity to work on so many projects and with such a variety of clients. My passion is growing an idea into a reality and getting it out into the world for people to utilise and play with. I am ever inspired by the creatives around me and relish being part of a process that finds novel, innovative solutions. Now seven years into the industry, I have learnt a lot but am still learning every day from the people around me.
Outside of the office you’ll find me homebrewing, which is my pride and joy, or writing, my second love (mostly about beer). My soggy notebook is testament to my dedication to both.
