Modular flexible exhibition system
To help Biofortuna reposition themselves, we designed a modular flexible exhibition system highlighting how the integration between human expertise and technology makes our client a success in the industry.
Challenge
With an already successful business, Biofortuna wanted to elevate their status and showcase the size and scale their operation had reached, repositioning themselves as a larger scale contract manufacturer. Our client had recently launched their new brand, and with it came a new strapline that, in just 4 words, perfectly encapsulates their capabilities: “From concept to commercialisation”.
Looking to exhibit at around 4-5 shows over a 12-month period and spanning 4 countries, the design for the modular flexible exhibition system we were asked to deliver would have to be as adaptable as the modular structure itself, with graphic panels that could be easily interchanged or replaced and would last 12 months without losing the quality of Day 1. This approach would maximise our client’s marketing budget and allow them to tailor the message to suit each show and plot allocated.
Solution
We designed a modular exhibition stand that works in a wide variety of spaces and configurations, with a design that grabs attention and gives delegates a reason to stop and look, step on and continue to engage.
The image below shows just one of the different configurations used by Biofortuna. At 7m x 2.5m, and open on three sides, the stand is clean and uncluttered, demonstrating Biofortuna’s very personable approach whilst also focusing on the cutting edge technology our client offers.
Our client’s fantastic bank of photography provides evidence of the perfect integration between human expertise and technology that makes Biofortuna a success in the industry.

To balance the block stripes of Biofortuna’s brand mark, the modular flexible exhibition system introduces round elements that soften the design whilst also reflecting what Biofortuna is all about: a flow of circular shapes nods at the idea of molecules or particles viewed through a scientific microscope. The circular theme continues with five icons, which help classify the different areas of expertise and services offered by Biofortuna.
The panel structure gives the stand plenty of flexibility, allowing our client to add or take away panels depending on what messages are being promoted, or variations in plot size. So far, the flexible structure has been used at the Med-Tech show (7m x 2.5m) and AACC (Annual Scientific Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo) in Chicago (6m x 1m). Next stop is the Medica Trade Fair in Düsseldorf, with a 5m x 3m configuration.
Borrowed from our client’s logo, the base of the exhibition stand offers a subtle accent of colour in the otherwise white, almost clinical, design, which we also translated into a pull-up banner structure.
A 32-inch screen showing looping content, an oval counter and a display cabinet complete the stand.
We received fantastic feedback from our client.
