Exhibition design and build
Having provided a complete exhibition design and build service to Galaxy Optical Services for their previous international shows, they approached us to move their live marketing forward with a brand new exhibition stand design.
Background
The previous exhibition design and build had relied on creating an enclosed space, reminiscent of an exclusive nightclub. In stark contrast to this, Galaxy wanted to surprise this year’s delegates at the upcoming MIDO show in Milan, with a much more open, crisp, clean look.
Challenge
Working within a stand space of 84sqm, open on three sides, we divided up the space. Our client required a reception area, where they could welcome visitors and capture their contact details; a product display area; and additional formal meeting areas to take orders and discuss contracts. Galaxy also needed a lockable store area with kitchen facilities and an integrated sound system.
Solution
To create an impressive entrance to the stand, we designed six 2.4m high free-standing showcases containing lockable storage underneath and featuring an enclosed glass display area, complete with internal lighting to display Galaxy’s eyewear ranges.
Arranging these showcases in a curve around the reception desk and adding the contrasting deep pink carpet encouraged visitors to walk round the display cases, admiring the products before being funnelled into the stand ready to be greeted by Galaxy’s sales staff.
The curve was echoed with the design of the storage area at the rear of the stand, softening the look of the stand design and providing a fantastic canvas for the floor to ceiling graphic wrap, giving a stunning, eye-catching backdrop to the design.
Both the exhibition design and build proved a success.
