Explainer video production
Our explainer video production team produced a film that highlights Ventient Energy’s expertise to resolve a highly complex logistical issue.
Background
Since 2017, Ventient Energy has delivered customised energy and asset management and technical advisory solutions. Committed to creating value in the local communities Ventient operates in, the company makes a continuous effort to promote the wellbeing of residents in the vicinity of their wind farms, with a conscious focus on protecting and improving the local environment.
Challenge
So what’s the best approach when one of Ventient Energy’s wind farms needs an upgrade, but the manufacturer of the original wind turbines ceased operations a long time ago? This is the challenge our client faced at one of their sites in Portugal. In turn, our challenge was to produce an explainer video that would communicate Ventient Energy’s expertise in overcoming obstacles, no matter how big.
The new 60m wind turbine blades replacing the existing 30m blades had to be transported through a rural landscape that had changed over the years, adding complexity to the project
Solution
Part of a “Did you know” series of videos we created for our client, in just over 6 minutes, our explainer video production team helped tell a story of expert knowledge and seamless project management.
After developing the storyboard and script with our client, we were ready to start filming. The resulting explainer video is a mix of interview clips and on-site and drone footage which present, in an uncomplicated way, the issue Ventient were facing, the different potential solutions that could be put in place, the final solution chosen by the engineering team, and the work involved in implementing that solution.
From the start, the video feels like an informal conversation that flows naturally between Ricardo Rocha, Engineering Project Manager, and the audience.
The local community is important to Ventient, and they feature prominently in the video as they follow the colossal logistics operation.
While for this particular project the drone footage wasn’t filmed by our team (instead it was the responsibility of Ventient’s logistics partner), we added subtle visual effects to it, such as a motion tracked wave graphic inspired by the flow of wind.
