A different approach to energy, and a fresh take on interactive website design, with a custom finance calculator developed to drive enquiries.
With domestic boilers being phased out to meet carbon emission targets, Coolair – one of the UK’s leading air conditioning companies – saw a great opportunity to enter the domestic market. Leveraging their expertise, our client launched a new initiative called Heat Pump Life, designed to encourage consumers to adopt this technology for their homes.
To achieve a set of very specific objectives for launch, we delivered a blend of creative direction and technical expertise, together with a new perspective on interactive website design that resonates with the dynamic marketplace our client operates in.
A calculated approach
The main goals of the website were to establish the new brand in a rapidly evolving marketplace, and to generate leads, so we aimed to deliver a positive user experience that shows the switch to a heat pump as a smart financial choice.
To do this, we focused our design on an interactive calculator. This tool encourages engagement and empowers visitors to take the next step by providing all the information they need to move forward with their enquiry.
Using existing brand elements, we designed an interactive website that is clean, clear, and modern, prioritising the customer experience.
The interactive finance calculator we developed transforms the site into a valuable tool for the audience while also allowing the client to gather important customer data.
We mapped out the user journey through discussion and analysis. Functionality emerged as the most important feature. We included screen recording and a booking option for surveys. We also designed and built the payment gateway and an email notification system.
We also included an animation in the interactive website design. The animation acts as an explainer of the benefits of installing a heat pump, detailing each step of the process to go through before making a purchasing decision.
It’s a graphical character animation that captures attention within seconds. The tone is first and foremost professional, with added splashes of dynamism that guarantee audience engagement.
A diverse set of characters resonate with a wide-ranging audience, while soft, minimal animation effects nod to the idea of customer satisfaction. Finally, the vibrant yet smooth tones of a voiceover artist inspire confidence in the process, and in our client.
The project also included refining the branding within the small budget allocated. We collaborated with the client to develop the existing logo, enhancing it and providing a cohesive colour scheme and logo lock-up. The outcome is an interactive website design that is light and airy, and communicates essential information quickly and effectively, with a clear focus on driving enquiries.
