Modular exhibition booth

Smart Money Loans had just 4 weeks to prepare a modular booth for the Mortgage Business Expo in London, and first impressions were vital to raise their profile by showcasing their refreshed brand.

Background

This was the first time Smart Money would be attending the UK’s largest exhibition for the financial market, so first impressions were vital, and the main objective was to raise their profile by showcasing their recently refreshed brand.

Challenge

With just four weeks to go, we had to really step up the pace when Smart Money Loans received a last minute opportunity to take an exhibition plot at the prestigious Mortgage Business Expo in London. Working to a limited budget, we needed to find a solution which elevated Smart Money’s presence above the sea of ‘shell scheme’ stands, whilst at the same time not breaking the budget.

Solution

To achieve this, we designed it using a modular system comprising of a metal framework and printed foamex infill panels. This modular style of exhibition stand can be easily adapted and reconfigured for use at future shows, maximising Smart Money’s initial investment.

We integrated a plasma TV screen, lockable storage, lighting and even a fridge (pre-stocked with Bucks Fizz) into the design, concealing all wiring within the structure of the modular exhibition booth to ensure a clean, crisp look. To generate traffic, we arranged a free prize draw to win an iPad with a corresponding data capture form to ensure that no leads were missed.

By completely organising not only the design and build of the booth, but also the logistics – right down to hiring a PR host – we freed up the Smart Money Loans team to concentrate on their customers, leaving everything else to us. We simply handed over the keys to the booth the night before the show and dismantled it after the show closed three days later.

Following an incredibly successful first show, Smart Money Loans then confirmed space at two further MBE Shows for the following year. With a few minor tweaks here and there to suit different plot sizes, we were able to adapt and roll out the modular exhibition booth again and again, giving the Smart Money Loans brand consistency of appearance whenever and wherever they exhibit.
