Medical device animation
For H&T Presspart’s new product launch, we created a medical device animation that elevated the presentation of the product to market with a blend of creative storytelling and technical precision.
We gave the animation the polished, refined feel of a premium product, using intricate 3D modelling and realistic sound effects and lighting to showcase its features effectively.

50 Years of expertise, one defining launch
H&T Presspart has earned its reputation as a trusted partner for the pharmaceutical industry, specialising in the manufacture of drug delivery devices and pharmaceutical components. With over 50 years of expertise, they have become synonymous with precision and reliability.
Their latest innovation, Vytal®, is set to transform the ready-to-use parenteral market. Designed for small to medium-batch production, this RTU snap-fit closure supports advanced therapeutics including biologics, viral vectors, mRNA, cell and gene therapies, antibody-drug conjugates and orphan drugs.
With competitors entering the market with similar products, H&T Presspart faced the challenge of making its launch memorable and distinct.
From outline to impact
Our client supplied a basic PowerPoint outlining the product’s features. Our task was to transform this basic outline into a sleek, sophisticated animation that would engage a professional audience while emphasising the product’s technical excellence.
We wanted the animation to feel cinematic, drawing inspiration from iconic product reveals, while ensuring it remained a practical sales tool. Additionally, we needed to balance creativity with an animation design style suited to H&T Presspart’s approach to external communications.
“This wasn’t just about running through features – we wanted to bring the product to life and make it feel exciting. The challenge was finding the right balance between showing real, tangible details and adding a more abstract, atmospheric layer. Through lighting, motion and framing, we aimed to build a sense of anticipation and give the piece some real energy.”
Tom Hinds, Senior Motion Designer
A different approach
Having developed a strong relationship with H&T Presspart over the years, we understood their ambition to elevate the product’s perception. From the outset, we asked ourselves how we could approach this animation differently, so we set out to create a medical device animation that showcased both technical precision and the refined, polished aesthetic often associated with premium consumer brands.
We explored various possibilities during the early stages, allowing space for experimentation and creative thinking. Rather than taking a linear approach, we combined design-led thinking with technical expertise, resulting in a distinctive outcome that truly stands out.
Storyboard
Our concept combined two key elements: cinematic storytelling and practical demonstration. We aimed for a visually striking animation reminiscent of high-end tech launches, inspired by Apple’s product launches and the atmospheric opening of Stanley Kubrick’s 1968 masterpiece 2001: A Space Odyssey.
The animation features a slow, backlit reveal of the product, incorporating realistic lighting techniques and detailed textures to create a photo-realistic impression. We combined Cinema 4D and After Effects to enhance depth and motion, including vector graphics to highlight product features such as the exploding cap. The medical device animation’s pacing and design mirrored what audiences would expect from a luxury brand, always being careful to emphasise the product’s real-world application.

Sound design
We paid special attention to sound design, combining subtle cinematic music with realistic sound effects like clicks and whooshes to add realism and create an immersive experience for the audience. This attention to detail not only added an extra level of polish and finesse, it also helped anchor the abstract visual style, helping maintain a tangible connection to the device and its application in the real world.
“Hi All, I don’t really know what to say, except that I love it! When I saw the storyboard and initial snippet, I knew it was going to be amazing, but this has exceeded all our expectations, so great job everyone!
And this is what I love about working with you guys, you just get what we need!”
Chad Mayoh, Global Marketing Manager, H&T Presspart
Client-endorsed impact
The final medical device animation exceeded client expectations, presenting the product as an innovative, premium solution within a very competitive market. H&T Presspart praised the balance of style and function, noting that the animation not only captivates audiences but also serves as a practical sales tool – on our client website, social media or in presentations.
