Product launch animation
We produced a versatile product launch animation that emphasises key customer benefits.
Background
The use of video animation can be one of the most cost-effective and engaging ways to attract new customers, particularly in the Financial Services sector, where marketing messages are often constrained by tight industry regulations and shrinking budgets.
Sage is a market leader in integrated accounting, payroll and payment systems aimed at millions of entrepreneurs worldwide. They also offer support solutions that allow their customers to stay up to date with legislation that can affect their finances, staff and customers.
Challenge
To help launch one of their cover products to market, they asked us to create a simple and engaging product launch animation.
Solution
Always considering the budget available, the animation maximises the use of just two images, allowing the viewer to focus on the advantages offered by the cover product, without unnecessary distractions.
To add perspective and movement, we cut out the images and applied a parallax effect, almost giving a 3D effect and bringing an otherwise conservative creative to life. The two images we used help represent the concepts of cover and support: an umbrella and a hammock convey the essence of the product, supporting its proposition of on-the-spot advice and peace of mind. We chose the images to complement Sage’s brand guidelines and ethos.
We also wrote the script and suggested the inclusion of client testimonials that help make the benefits real and tangible. The use of an upbeat track further reinforces the benefits of the product, and icons and a clear call to action add movement and purpose. We ensured the product launch animation, which is used on Sage’s website and on their YouTube channel, is compatible with all systems to maximise reach.
Sage was delighted with the result, and we have also produced a version for the Irish market.
