Inspired by Liverpool’s architecture, we created a striking set of pull-up banners featuring line illustrations of some of the city’s most well known landmarks.
As one of the main sponsors during Liverpool’s City of Culture status, United Utilities ran an internal communications campaign aimed at its employees, detailing their involvement and the events it was running throughout the year to celebrate the city’s prestigious status. To help promote one of the events Parker Design put together a range of pull-up banner design concepts.
With the City of Culture status coinciding with considerable capital improvement projects in and around Liverpool, United Utilities felt it important to give something back to the community, so they became one of the principal sponsors. Hosting a series of events for employees throughout the year, Parker Design were asked to design the promotional campaign.
Taking Liverpool’s rich architectural heritage as inspiration for the visuals, we created a striking set of pull-up banner design concepts featuring line illustrations of some of the city’s most well known landmarks. To enhance the connection with Liverpool the headlines for each of the pull-up banners were taken from famous Beatles’ song titles.
The pull-up banner designs were only a small part of the promotional campaign, which also included event branding, posters, invitations and even wrapping a huge water tank with a vinyl building wrap graphic, to promote United Utilities at the Tall Ships event at Liverpool’s famous Docks.
