We designed a stunning coffee table brochure to celebrate AstraZeneca’s half centenary on site at Alderley Park.
The site, rich in heritage, even gets a mention in the Domesday Book and with so many stories to tell, AstraZeneca wanted to put together a brochure to chart both the history and development of the site since acquiring it in 1950. Working very closely with an AstraZeneca employee who was also an avid local historian, we compiled a rich source of stories and historical photographs of the site.
To balance the nostalgic element we spent three days on site photographing the more recent landmark buildings and the beautiful manicured grounds in which they are set.
We also commissioned a specialist aerial photographer to capture some stunning new images of the entire estate, which when shown next to a similar shot taken back in the early 1950s, not only demonstrate the significant investment in the site during AstraZeneca’s ownership, but also the careful and conscientious management of the estate.
To complement the stories and photographs we designed a graphical timeline depicting key dates and events throughout history. The completed brochure design and printing finishes used exude a quality and stature fitting to a site of such historical and modern day importance.
“It’s a real pleasure to work with Parker Design. Nothing is too much trouble and ‘going the extra mile’ is part of the service.
They’re pro-active, provide creative solutions, do whatever is needed to meet tight deadlines and work within the agreed budget, to produce a quality product.
I would recommend Parker Design to anyone.”
