Expense policy animation
An effective and visually engaging travel expense policy animation to encourage staff to reduce costs.
Background
We’ve helped our client with many projects over the years, but this new expense policy animation had to be really different, and surprise employees to generate maximum impact.
Challenge
“Travel smart – for the right reason, in the right way – to reduce costs.” That’s the message our pharmaceutical client needed to communicate to their almost 60,000 employees worldwide. And the message had to deliver tangible results in a cost-effective and engaging way.
Solution
We produced an expense policy animation that was easy to distribute and fun to watch. Our creative team was inspired by the opening animation for the film ‘Catch Me If You Can’, so we expanded on this theme to immediately capture the viewer’s imagination. This helped our client’s internal communications team send an important message in a direct, professional and at the same time memorable and fun way.
The story is filled with colour and movement, and infographic-style information on the costs of travel and the impact on the company.
With the target audience fully engaged, the expense policy animation highlights straightforward information about cost reduction, while also expanding on how travelling smarter helps the company to deliver on CSR initiatives to be more environmentally conscious.
The expense policy animation also emphasised how the increased savings would benefit important research initiatives that otherwise might not get off the ground without funding.
To prevent viewers from clicking away from the expense policy animation too early, our video production team carefully selected a friendly voiceover and energetic jazz music to both entertain and help maintain focus on the message. This strengthened the appeal of the visuals and effortlessly transitioned the audience through each stage of the animation.
“The Travel Smart animation has finally done the rounds, and everyone loves it, including our CEO. He’s even going to include a link to it in his next staff bulletin.
Thanks Tom for the speedy work – the animation looks brilliant! You’ve all done a fantastic job on this, thank you!”
