Background

Conduent delivers technology-enabled business process solutions that automate and streamline mission-critical operations. Those technology solutions allow Conduent’s clients to implement process efficiencies, realise cost savings and grow revenue.

Challenge

To address an issue that costs the NHS £1bn annually – missed appointments or DNAs, Did Not Attends – Conduent was preparing to pitch one of their omnichannel technology solutions to the NHS. Our brief was to help Conduent present this solution with a highly engaging sales explainer animation that would highlight the process and cost benefits Conduent can help achieve, as well as improvements to the overall patient experience.

Solution

In just over a minute, the sales explainer animation helps communicate Conduent’s thorough understanding of the issue (which is mainly due to communication barriers between patients and the NHS) and the technology solution offered to counteract it.

The visual style is fresh and sympathetic, and the pace energising, condensing a complex ‘problem vs. solution’ story in a highly effective and memorable way.

To visually communicate the absence of people – patients who missed their appointments – the sales explainer animation uses grey silhouettes to represent patients who would have been in the waiting room had they not missed their appointment; each silhouette then swiftly fades into a character illustration to represent patients who have been able to attend their appointment thanks to Conduent’s technology solution.

Moving on to how Conduent’s technology and services can help reduce DNAs, patients now appear at the centre of a dial-like visual device, surrounded by a series of icons that illustrate the different communication options offered by Conduent to give patients choice on how to manage their appointments (email, text, letter in the post, etc.).

An informative and conversational female voiceover perfectly complements the visual style of the sales explainer animation, relaxed and focused on solutions.
