Short video production
This short video production project put the voice of the customer at the heart of a series of online case studies.
Background
Sage is a global technology leader supplying business software to over 6 million businesses all over the world. Working with businesses of all sizes, Sage provides software and support for accountancy professionals, bookkeepers and business owners.
Challenge
Our client needed our help with a short video production project that put the voice of the customer at the heart of a series of online case studies.
Solution
With video being an incredibly powerful medium and a great way to capture and promote enthusiasm about a product or service in a highly engaging way, we chose it rather than opting for a more traditional printed case study.
Our technique with this short video production was to shoot and edit the footage together in a documentary style. Combining a variety of footage captured on location at the individual accountant’s premises, the short video comprises of interviews, scene setting cut-away shots and, where possible, the accountant visiting one of their client’s premises.
The interview sections are filmed either using auto-cue or by asking pre-scripted questions off camera. When edited together, this technique portrays the subjects speaking in a relaxed and confident manner about the Sage products, whether they are in front of the camera for the first time, or seasoned pros.
Sage uploaded each short video production to their YouTube channel, as well as featuring them on their website, in sales presentations and at roadshow events.
