Sports brand design
We helped Elite P3’s innovative new product stand out in a fiercely competitive market with a powerful sports brand design that appeals to top athletes.
Background
Elite P3, an expert in custom sports mouthpieces, was preparing to launch a cutting-edge product, engineered to alter jaw alignment. The product, developed at Edinburgh University, contributes to better athletic performance in a wide range of training environments, thanks to major improvements in strength, power, endurance and recovery.
Challenge
The sports industry is inundated with trends and regular technology developments that offer significant improvements in performance. Having the right brand can play a major part in making a product rise above competitors, and creating maximum impact. Our client asked us to help them launch their innovative product with a high-energy sports brand design.
Solution
The sports brand design we created is inspired by the performance goals the audience lives and breathes; it aims to instil the same feeling of aspirational energy and achievement. By placing the target audience within the training environment of a gym, we guaranteed broad appeal amongst elite professionals and amateur fitness enthusiasts.
Creative touches such as splitting the logo across the middle and overlaying a grid on the design reinforce the idea of realignment offered by the innovative mouthpieces. Even on elements that are aimed at printed materials, the new branding design we created is a powerful identity that transmits the idea of precision, movement and efficiency.
Energetic photography featuring sportspeople engaged in a variety of intense exercise routines, combined with scientific elements and design references that reaffirm the product’s USP – jaw alignment – create a strong and contemporary identity that generates immediate engagement.
Soon after launch, the new sports brand design was rolled out across a variety of marketing collateral, including a new website, email communications, stationery and brochures.
