Fold-out poster design
We produced a visually impactful and versatile poster design that helped prolong the life of DAI’s investment in three major industry shows.
Background
Retail Week Live, Multimodal and Intermodal Asia are three key industry shows for DAI, global leader in Supply Chain software solutions. These events attract, both nationally and internationally, key decision makers looking to discover the latest innovations and to forge new business relationships.
Challenge
To provide DAI with a distinct and future-proof way of promoting their products and services in a way that would attract the attention of visitors, during and long after the show.
Solution
Instead of other materials, such as flyers or leaflets, which could be easily discarded just feet away from the stand, we designed two visually engaging, content-filled posters.
At first sight the piece looks like an A4 booklet, but then each piece folds out to become a double-sided A2 poster, generating intrigue and quickly becoming a conversation starter.
The poster design format also makes attendees more likely to hold on to them as useful reference material – a cost-effective solution that keeps DAI front of mind with their audience, and hints at their focus on innovation in everything they do.
The versatile format lends itself to a flexible design that we filled with strong contemporary colour shades, a photography style that exudes authority, and playful infographics, illustrations and 3D graphics that add variety and interest at every turn.
A visual theme runs through the poster design in the shape of a hexagon, the perfect device to illustrate process structure, and which we had also used in a set of brochures we designed for the same exhibitions.
The friendly illustration style reinforces DAI’s objective to reach out to potential audiences in an effective and memorable way.
A strong iconography style and the bold colours of the poster design help readers process complex information.
