Background

Holiday brochures are 50 per cent catalogue, 50 per cent glossy brochure and 100 per cent escapism – transporting the reader to another place and time. They should be informative, easy to follow and understand and most importantly, exciting to look at. For many years, Parker Design have worked in partnership with Eurocamp Independent producing their holiday brochures design.

Challenge

Our client’s brief for this project was to renew the excitement felt by existing Eurocamp customers, and also attract new audiences who may not have considered a holiday like those offered by our client.

Solution

Following a set format, the first section takes the form of a glossy brochure. The initial pages really showcase the types of holiday Eurocamp Independent are famous for, featuring stunning photographs of campsites, beaches and landscapes. Heavily designed, these pages set out all the general holiday information, including kids clubs, days out ideas and parc information, whetting the appetite and getting the reader excited about booking their holiday.

The next section – the catalogue – contains all the specific information about the individual campsites. A series of page layout templates accommodate different combinations of campsites per page, while a colour coding system enables readers to easily distinguish between the different countries and regions featured. These master templates are then passed over to Eurocamp’s in-house team to populate with the site-specific information.

The final section of the brochure contains all the travel and insurance information, including ferry timetables, pricing structures and booking forms. These are designed in clear, easy to follow layouts with the inclusion of intuitive charts and forms, making the process of booking a holiday as simple as possible for the reader.
