Background
Annual General Meetings are a great opportunity for companies to look back and celebrate their achievements. They keep teams engaged and motivated as they look ahead to the next 12 months of aspirations and goals, for individuals and the company as a whole. The opening of the event will set the tone for the meeting, and for the year ahead; engaging video plays a major role in communicating a message of celebration of past achievements, and commitment to not lose momentum.
Challenge
Wolters Kluwer, a market-leading global information services company which operates in over 40 countries and employs 19,000 staff worldwide, helps their clients manage their business efficiently by providing information, software and services that deliver insights and subject matter expertise. For their recent AGM, which took place in Milan, our brief was to produce an opening conference video that would highlight the company’s achievements and embrace the company’s values: Focus on customer success, Make it better, Aim high and deliver, and Win as a team.
Solution
The video opens with an upbeat music track that sets the tone straight away as it introduces Wolters Kluwer’s Accelerate. Driving transformation vision for the next 12 months.
Successes are presented in different formats to give variety and equal prominence: footage from the different offices, images of local charity and team-building events, new leadership hire announcements, infographics, client wins, product and initiative launches, industry analysis, recruitment events, team recognition, press coverage.
A visual device in the shape of a wheel acts as a timeline. Placing it in bottom corner ensures the audience are able to focus on the information being communicated.
The video really contributes to bringing the Wolters Kluwer global team together as they look forward to the year ahead.
