AstraZeneca knows that referred employees are the first source of new hire quality, and show higher engagement levels, performance and retention rates. With different referral programmes in different AstraZeneca sites all over the world, we were asked to help unify them all under one single concept that would work effectively across different cultures and in as many as 10 languages. Inspired by the sentiment behind an employee referral, +1 was born, a confident identity that transmits the concept of inviting someone to something special.

Statoil is committed to developing exceptional leaders, with a solid internal communications strategy to support this drive. A key element is their Leadership Academy, in need of a brand refresh to keep employees energised. The brand needed to convey the importance Statoil places on accountability, teamwork and desire to learn. To visually convey the idea of a journey to a specific point in the future, we looked to our client's brand guidelines: we multiplied and rotated the Statoil's brand’s 6-degree angle to create a ribbon device that transmits a sense of progression and perspective.

How do you communicate to 16,000 employees across 250 care homes the importance of full compliance at all times? And how do you do it without scare tactics or fostering a culture of blame? These were questions raised by our client when trying to prepare employees for the launch of the GDPR directive, and they needed our support designing a logo and building an associated campaign that looked to collaboration and teamwork for inspiration.
